Why isn't checkout self-serve yet?

The directory runs with no accounts and no database on purpose. Until volume justifies automating it, placements are set up by hand — usually within a few hours of payment, always within 24.

Can I pay with x402 itself?

Soon. For now it's a plain USDC transfer on Base to the address below — the same rails your own API is paid on.

What happens when the month ends?

Your listing goes back to organic ranking. No auto-renewal, no card on file: pay again to extend, or don't.

Does featuring change my listing's data?

No. Description, pricing, and usage stats still come from the discovery network. Featuring only affects placement and adds the badge.
